Well- the Yankees finally won a game-It's about time . Grancia seems to be receiving across the board praise and that is satisfying. I got a particularly thoughtful review in All About Jazz (Though I don't agree with the analysis of Free Western-but hey: nobody bats 1.000) from Michael Gladstone - Jazz Times gave me a nice nod as well and I have been featured in a couple of international magazines as well-Like Australian Hi Fi which is a lovely audiophile glossy and a progressive rock zine from the Netherlands called IO, which very thoughtfully sent me a 72 page pdf of the entire magazine- the only problem is that I can't read Dutch- any help out there would be appreciated ! All reviews are posted on my "reviews" page if you would like to read them . I'm working hard at getting bricks and mortar distribution , as being "critically acclaimed" does not neccessarily translate into sales . Have been getting lots of airplay in Canada of all places-thanks to my Canuck fans- I appreciate it . On the commercial front, I have been involved in some great sessions in New York with some very talented cats (not to name drop-but what the heck) like Victor Bailey, Lenny White, Jay Stollman, Chieli Minucci and Jesse Andruss ( Jesse is an amazing reed player from Philly and the man with the deepest voice in the universe) doing a variety of production music cues . I also had a dream come true recently when Jerry Marotta introduced me to Todd Rundgren . Any one who knows me, knows of my Todd worship through the years and although the meeting was pretty much "Hi Todd Bye Todd"-it meant an awful lot to me . Todd is in touch with something that the world needs - I try to grab some of it whenever I sense it .
It's getting to be gardening time here in upstate New York and I am praying for an early crop of great arugala- best to all-feel free to drop me a note anytime
